Lammas (Lughnasadh)

Lammas (Lughnasadh)
February 1st

Lammas is the 1st Sabbat in the Sothern Hemisphere; Lammas is a time to give thanks for what we have. It is known as the 1st harvest of the season. It's a time to celebrate and share gratitude to those around us and be grateful for what we have. You may choose many things to give thanks for such as good health, having a roof over our head, food on the table and financial abundance. (You can see where I'm going with this)
It's all about the little things that we might take for granted in our day to day lives.
We connect deeply with our divine feminine at this time.

Each Sabbat has Gods and Goddesses that support us through and that we can give offerings to. I have listed a few that you can call in while doing your ritual work and setting up your altar.
Lammas deities- Lugh, Demeter, Odin, Adonis, The Green Man & Loki.
Also, there are many other deities connected to the harvest season; these can be called in to.

Below I have put together a list of items that can be used for ritual work for Lammas

Colours- Gold, Yellow, Green, White & Light Brown

Herbs & Plants- Basil, Cinnamon, Patchouli, Rosemary

Food- Pears, Apples, Blackberries, Corn on the Cob & Grains

Crystals- Green Aventurine, Citrine, Carnelian, Tiger Eye & Peridot

Animals- Bees, Eagle, Dog & Lion

Incense-  Rose & Frankincense

Symbols- Corn, Sunflowers & Cauldron

"I give thanks for what I have & for what I will receive in the future
I call in good health, healing and abundance
I thank Mother Earth for what light she gifts me everyday"
