Happy Witches New Year
Samhain is the time of the year where we say goodbye to our summer months as we move into Autumn. It is also the last harvest of our summer crops as the frost and cooler weather sets in.
Samhain is the time when the veil between living and dead is at its thinnest; this is the time to give thanks to our ancestors and connected with them. Grief itself is sad for us, we have lost loved ones who have moved on, but Samhain is a time to celebrate them.
We connect deep with our divine feminine at this time, women are the givers of life which stems deep into our feminine energy.
Where there is 'death' there is rebirth. This could be a relationship, a career change or an opportunity that comes by letting go of something else. Sometimes we need to give thanks for what we had; lay it to rest and begin a new journey. Samhain is the time to do this.
Each Sabbat has Gods & Goddesses that support us through and that we can give offerings to. I have listed a few that you can call in while doing your ritual work and setting your altar.
Samhain's deities- Hecate, Hades, Kali, Persephone, Demeter, Cerridewen & Lilith.
Below I have put together a list of items that can be used for ritual work for Samhain
Colours- Black, Grey, Red, Orange & Yellow

"I call to my ancestors as the veil is thin, I ask for connection and guidance from them and within
In times of dark I bloom and grow
It's time to step back and let go"
